Our Story

Bozeman has a LOT of artists and creatives, but very few affordable places for people to create art and gather together. Our three founders — Sarah Washko, Grace Washko, and Erin Corsi — founded Wheelhouse with the mission of providing an accessible space for people to gather, make art, and build community. Something that's especially important during the growing pains we’re experiencing as one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

Wheelhouse is a community art studio for makers of all kinds. We provide roomy tables, a variety of art supplies, tea and snacks to all of our patrons. Our business works like an art gym: daily admission (or a punch pass) grants access to everything we provide.

We also have weekly art events hosted at our space, some free some not, and a variety of community events at an affordable rate for locals — everything from birthday parties to private art nights to galas.

  • Sarah Washko

Sarah is a small-batch leaded glass artist. She runs Saddle Peak Glass, and is our resident glass artist and instructor at Wheelhouse. Sarah studied science and engineering and, initially took up stained glass as away to distract herself from the challenges of studying engineering. Now she uses her STEM training in the Studio to create and teach.
